                                        Design: The Kydex Taco Press design is similar to a manual book press. It was engineered for the purpose of making 1-piece, taco-style Kydex holsters and sheaths. The forming pressure is applied through the use of a hinged wing fixed in place by a standard 12 inch trigger clamp (not included). The Kydex Taco Press has a small footprint, taking only one square foot of bench top space. The hinged wings are 6 x 12 inches each and fit a standard 12 inch trigger clamp when fully open.
High Quality: This model of the Kydex Taco Press is simple in design, yet well-constructed. It is made from high-quality materials, such as 3/4 inch plywood and grade 5 hardware fasteners. The base of the unit is glued and screwed for maximum durability. Each screw on the base is recessed to minimize bench top scratching.
Center Foam: This model of the Kydex Taco Press uses Xtreme Form for the center foam of the press. This molding foam has been specifically engineered for use in press molding sheet materials like Kydex, Holstex, and Boltaron. It also greatly minimizes memory artifacts due to superior chemical formulation. This foam can also be used on both sides, unlike other products. If you want the best molding effect, Xtreme Form is the top of the class for thermoform molding applications.
